What is a Sponsored Link?
- Sponsored Links are located at the top of Shopping Directory pages.
- The Shopping Directory appears in ALL our portal sites (Property, Finance, Shopping, Holidays & Travel).
- They are upgraded Regular Links.
- They reward us for driving business to your website by paying us a commission.

How do I know Sponsored Links are worth paying for?
Statistical analysis has shown that if your link is sponsored it will receive on average 10 times more hits and more link requests from our visitors than if you have placed your link in any other category.
The Sponsored Links are randomly selected and rotated from the pool of subscribers in the Propertyportal.com directory. This is the most effective way for every member of the Sponsored Link directory to receive the maximum amount of expressions and targeted traffic.

How do I pay your commission?
Your link must be relevant to our site and target audience and you must have either:

Where will my link go?
Paying advertisers - Regular Links
- Paid Regular Links take positional priority over Free Regular Links.
- They are always placed at the top of the directory page (under sponsored Links if present) in alphabetical order.
- If this order does not suit you, you can donate to improve your positional placing.
- Only official business names as they appear on your website can be used for the text link that will determine your position.
FREE advertisers - Free Regular Links
- Free Regular Links appear beneath Paid Regular Links which are in turn beneath Sponsored Links (if present).
- We feel that alphabetical order is the only fair way to display our free advertisers.
- If this order does not suit you, you can upgrade your free link to a Regular Link or Sponsored Link.
- Only official business names as they appear on your website can be used for the text link that will determine your position.
You can appear on as many pages as you like.

How do I improve my Regular Link position and increase my visibilty?
If you are unhappy with your current Regular Link position, wish to improve your visibility or don't wish to purchase a Sponsored Link, you may wish to make a donation to improve your Regular Link position.
Why a donation?
Because it is entirely voluntary.
How can making a donation improve my Regular Link position?
Regular Links are normally placed in alphabetical order so those merchants whose business name begins with an 'A' or a numeral such as '1' will clearly get many more page impressions than those beginning with 'Z'.
If we have received no donations for a page, and yours is the first, you will automatically be moved to the top position in the Regular Links of the page(s) you specify. If other donations have been received or are received in the future, your position is dictated by the value of your donation, the highest donation receiving top position and the lowest donation receiving lowest position.
Please use your own discretion when making a donation.
We do not provide advice on the amount of donations.
